Elegant & homely - life in a townhouse
When Rhonwen first visited Welborne, she wasn't expecting to find her new home.

Having moved to the UK from South Africa two years earlier and rented nearby, she was exploring different areas when a recommendation from her daughter led her to the Garden Village.
"We'd looked at a few places, but when I saw this development, I just thought, 'This is home.'"
That feeling was reinforced when Rhonwen stepped inside the Burlington show home.
"We looked around and I said, 'I want to buy this one.' I absolutely fell in love with it."
Today, Rhonwen and her husband, Brian, live in a three-storey townhouse overlooking the growing community at Welborne, and she says the home's versatility has been one of its biggest advantages.
A home that adapts to your lifestyle
For Rhonwen, the townhouse layout offers the perfect balance of space, practicality and comfort.
"This house gives us exactly the right amount of room. The space is so flexible."
The three-storey design has allowed the couple to create different areas tailored to their lifestyle. The top floor includes a guest bedroom and a study that also doubles as a gym, while the first floor provides a spacious main bedroom and a separate formal lounge.
"It's given me the space I want while still feeling elegant and homely at the same time. I like things that are functional but beautiful as well."
Working from home has also been made easy by the thoughtful layout, allowing Rhonwen to separate work, exercise and relaxation across different floors.

Becoming part of a new community
While Rhonwen already loves life at Welborne, she's excited about what comes next as the Garden Village grows. The future village centre, cafés, shops and pub are all things she's looking forward to, helping to create an even stronger sense of place.
"I love the idea of the village. You're in the countryside, but you're not isolated. Everything is close by and the people here are so friendly."
Rhonwen also enjoys the green spaces, walking around the development with her granddaughter. “She gets on her little tricycle and I push her around,” said Rhonwen, “She loves it.”
With excellent transport connections, nearby shopping and easy access to London, Rhonwen believes Welborne offers the best of both worlds.
"You've got that village peacefulness, but you're still close to everything you need."
